Process
About
Rebelfi was initially designed and built to explore how a chat-like approach to sending money could enhance the user experience, especially for crypto transactions. This project, undertaken for a hackathon, aimed to address the pain point of low crypto education and assist people in investing in stable assets with trust and transacting with their peers.
After thorough research and validation of our assumptions, we gathered new insights and transformed them into both functional and product requirements. Our primary goal became clear: to build a platform that helps users save their money using crypto and enables them to transact with friends and family.

My role on the project
My role on the team was to help flesh out this idea functionally and intuitively in a very fast pace working along side with devs and product owner to ensure the product met functional requirements
After the implementation of the Rebelfi web app, it was demonstrated to judges who provided positive feedback. They remarked that this approach would definitely lower the barrier for Web2 users transitioning to Web3. The feature of incorporating an AI assistant was also praised for being intuitive and offering real value to the user. Beyond the hackathon, the solution entered the Alpha testing stage, gathering feedback from users while further developing the solution.
Much later, the idea pivoted in a different direction.
